Look, I'm just gonna say it: WHY IS EVERYONE RAVING? She looks sloppy. Why are you all falling over yourselves?

Listen, I appreciate the "Hollywood fairytale" storyline, and I don't mind her size, and I quite enjoy her... but let's call a spade a spade. I let her sloppiness slide at the last event, I mean, even Oprah can't control the rain. But this Marchesa dress? Not their best. her face looks greasy. And the hair is shining like a cheap plastic weave. You know what I'm talking about... when the synthetic weave reflects light and looks like Barbie hair?

Seriously, I'm all for the organic, just-threw-it-up-i'm-so-low-maintenance 'do, but many a flawless face and killer gown was destroyed last night by messy hair.


Intentionally-messy only works if still calculated. These styles just look crazy.

Gareth Pugh Fall/Winter 2010

I seriously can't with Gareth Pugh.

I've been having a serious tough chic moment lately...been rocking my Vera riding boots, moto jacket, and Andrew Marc Jet bag like every day-- so I've been sitting here salivating for the past 20 minutes. I just can't wrap my head around something so amazing, it physically hurts.

Meet Jacque Faustino. She's just your typical fashion and music loving 20-something. And oh yeah...she just happens to look eerily similar to a certain pop superstar.


I'm not the only one who thinks so. Jacque has been mistaken for Gaga more than once, including at Gaga's OWN concert: "NYE in Miami I dressed as Gaga to her concert. It was all fun at first and at the end of the show everyone thought I was her! I actually had a security guard in a suit and walkie talkie hold my hand to lead me out of the crowd!"

The resemblance is so uncanny, Jacque has industry insiders clamoring to work with her. A few short weeks after the concert incident, she met visual artist/photographer Robert Hayman, who asked her to photo test dressed as the pop star. That shoot went so well that he asked her to star in his video homage to the singer. (See "Teeth" below.)



Jacque is working toward a career in styling, but says she is having fun modeling and won't rule out a gig impersonating the infamous Lady: "I want to see where this takes me, I want to try everything I possibly can. Actually working with Gaga and meeting her would be amazing."
