I'll be attending and covering [and probably shopping] Fashion's Night Out in NYC on September 10th, and I'm pretty excited.

Here's a taste of what's in store:

"Various contests will be held throughout the night in which one can win tickets to runway shows, haircuts by Sally Hershberger and Oscar Blandi, a custom Carolina Herrera wedding dress and the chance to be on set during a Demarchelier Vogue shoot. Cindy Crawford, Hugh Jackman, Stephanie Seymour, Sasha, Caroline, Chanel, Lily, The Misshapes, Taylor Momsen, Yasmin le Bon, Coco and Diddy are just a few of the people with planned appearances."

"Come and experience a Vogue photo shoot at the Jimmy Choo Madison Avenue store: A special behind-the-scenes look at a fashion shoot styled by Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo founder and president, with a Vogue editor, who will style and accessorize your fall wardrobe."

"Tory Burch is hosting a neighborhood block party at her boutique in the Meatpacking District to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out. Deejay Cassidy will be spinning, La Esquina will be barbequing, and the Street Peeper will be snapping pictures of all the guests! The Tory Burch boutique at 257 Elizabeth Street will also be open late for a special evening of champagne and shopping. "

Over 700 retailers are participating, and almost everyone has crazy parties and events scheduled.

Chanel is even doing CUSTOM HANDBAG DESIGN. That's right, design your own one-of-a-kind Chanel. Sweeter words have never been uttered.

And of course, I'll get to as many places as humanly possible with digital recorder, notepad, and credit card in hand!

I'm hoping to at least meet Christian Louboutin, check out Andre Leon Talley hosting the new game Fashion Rules [with teams led by Donna Karan, Linda Fargo, and Robert Verdi!], and have a drink served to me by the Olsens, who'll be guest bartending at Bergdorf's.

Check back for a full update on the evening's events, hopefully with lots of great insider pics and interviews...unless I get close enough to Anna Wintour. In that case there won't be any update...because I'll have died.
