Who/What/Why:Erin Wasson debuted her latest collection for PM Tenore’s West Coast-based brand RVCA.Location: Bryant Park Tents, Tent.
Celebs spotted: Bruce Willis, Taylor Momsen.
The Collection:Exactly what was expected from Wasson; baggy, boho, and rock-n-roll, with a So-Cal/Venice beach undertone. Denim, leather, zippers, studs, grommets, yawn.
Hair: Kevin Ryan/R Session Tools [hair was tousled and misted with B&B Surf Spray, then twisted into knots to create imperfect, bedhead waves. Knots were let out and tousled with fingers for a messy, just woke up look.]
Makeup: Charlotte Willer/Maybelline [The inspiration behind the look a girl who's been out in the desert way too long (deyhydrated from that bender, perhaps? lol) Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse was used to create a faux tan, then powdered down. Maybelline Stiletto Mascara on lashes and eye makeup smudged underneath to create a "been out all night" smokey eye. Lips were coated in Maybelline Color Sensation lipstick #435 and then dusted with mineral powder to matte down the shine.]
The Takeaway: After all of the hype and choas to get into this show, I was seriously underwhelmed. The highlight was seeing actor Bruce Willis front row, and that's not saying much. Model Erin Wasson designed a rock influenced collection suitable for her fellow model and It-girls...and not many others. A nude, bodysuit jumper? I mean come on...it's all a little "coming off of a 3 day bender" for me. OF COURSE Taylor Momsen was there.pc. NYMAG

aww i like her designs! but i agree, she only makes clothes for her circle of models!
