I was in Sephora the other day, and I don't know if it was the stress of an unsuccessful NYFW shopping excursion, or just good ol' curiosity, but I picked up a bottle of What's A Tire, Jack - a matte black. I actually tested all three of the shades, the purplish shade [Domestic Goddess] IMO was really ugly, and Metro Chic matte was "eh". [I really don't get the Metro Chic craziness, it's always just been eh to me. Maybe it doesn't work on my fair skin.]
So back to What's A Tire, Jack...
I didn't love it. I'm not used to the dull finish, and frankly, I don't want to get used to it. I love the shine of a new, beautifully done manicure...and I guess I'm just not willing to give that up.

IMO, the shade looked like asphalt on me, like I ran my nails over a just-poured driveway. Not the look I was going for.
PS- Does it remind anyone else of of a dog's nails?!?! You know what I'm talking about?
And for those of you wondering, it chipped on DAY 2. I'm on day 4 and this is what it looks like:
I'll be passing on the matte nail trend guys. Kudos to those who enjoy it.

I had been on the fence about this for months. I JUST tried it last night. I don't like. It kinda makes my nails look like I have on cheap, beauty supply store nail polish. I want my money back!
