1. TONS of neutrals-- nude, gray, navy, black, and varying shades of white-- which pleases me to no end.
2. Metallics. Good luck with that one. Unless you're buying me that Thuy motorcycle jacket I posted earlier. In that case, yes please.
3. Peekaboo details: cut-outs, slits, mesh, lace, anything that shows a bit of skin. (Including the AMAZING Rad Hourani pants in the pic.)
4. Feminine, watercolor prints. Tons of Monet-esque prints walked, and while I don't fare well n pastels, they were beautiful. Some of you more, err, girly readers will LOVE this trend. I'm almost frightened to see what the masses will do with it, though (I'm looking at YOU, Mandee/Joyce Leslie)
5. Slouchy, fluid, jersey tanks, tunics, and dresses. FAVE, FAVE, FAVE. Comfortable chic. I'm all about comfort (I practically live in my 19 sizes too big Kenzie cardigan, ask anyone.)
All in all, the trends are pretty wearable (god, I'm tired of that word this week). Nothing too crazy, thankfully, but a little too tame... I was really hoping for something to wow me. maybe I'm just hard to please.
Also, I was disappointed to see some residual neon hues. That's ALL you, loves-- I'm neon'd out. I drew the line when I purchased highlighter yellow nailpolish this summer. GAME OVER.

You really have outdone yourself! Thanks so much for all the posts this weekend! I have thoroughly enjoyed your take on the ones you were lucky enough to see!
Do you feel like the current style has gone a bit stagnant over the past 2 years? You may be hard to please but I get what you're saying.
I'm hoping to get my credentials for next year! See you there, maybe!

I do feel that the collections were a bit safe and boring. I think we're at the end of a fashion cycle, to be honest. Next few collections may be stale before the industry gets it together again.
Let's hope not, though.
Glad you enjoyed!

Nothing from any reviews seemed to stand out to me as so fabulous I was gonna die if I didn't get my hands on one. I agree the collections are safe. This means my wallet is as well.
Neons make me vomit.
Your posts from NYFW are amazing. Thanks so much for giving such great insight to those of us who aren't there.
