Who/What/Why: Amy Smilovic's modern adaptation of Great Expectations for TIBI's Spring 2010 collection. Location: Bryant Park Tents, Promenade.
Celebs spotted: Kelly Bensimmon, Olivia Palermo.
The Collection: Feminine silhouettes-- no crazy stuff here, just pretty, wearable, clothes. Color palette of pastels, watercolor hues, pops of red, and neutrals. Gorgeous abstract prints, florals, and those amazing blue ankle wrap heels!
Makeup: Bobbi Brown [Bright yellow eye shadow under brow, bright pink coral on lid; Black Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner on top lid, bright green liner along bottom lash line; multiple layers of Extreme Party Mascara on top and bottom lashes; Coral pot rouge was placed high on cheekbones; Lips were coated with a nude shade to balance the bold eye.]
Hair:Kevin Ryan/R Session [Hair was pulled into “tribal” buns – that meant nothing visible atop their heads, instead, stylists pulled out a few hairs and mussed them up in order to make them look less perfect.]The Takeaway: It was tough for me to get past those killer ankle wraps (the blue has a hold on me this year, you guys), but I loved everything about the collection. The standout for me was the Monet-esque watercolor dress up top. Trust me, it was hard to choose just two looks for this post...everything was gorgeous. TIBI was another favorite of mine this season. I mean, come on... the show opened with Guns 'N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine"!

I didn't see any pics from this show-LOVE that first dress... it's so watercolor-y. Fabulous :)
