Twinkle by Wenlan Spring 2010.

Who/What/Why: Twinkle by Wenlan Chia Spring 2010 Collection.

Location: Bryant Park Tents, Salon

Celebs spotted: Alex McCord of Real Housewives and Yin Chang, of Gossip Girl fame.

The Collection: Designer Wenlan Chia sent many wearable looks down the runway. Shades of white, interesting prints, and cute spring dresses. Prints were done in primary shades to washes of pastels, anchored by black and white. Heavily inspired by Blondie and Yoko Ono, the collection was very 80's influenced without being costumey.

Hair: John Ruidant for REDKEN [Hair was texturized with Redken Fabricate 03 Heat-Active Texturizer, and blown out beofre being parted down the center and curled with a barrel iron and pinned. Once cool, curls were let down and brushed out, then slightly backcombed for a rough texture.]

Makeup: MAC/Gianpaolo Ceciliato [Studio Sculpt Foundation and Silver Dusk on the cheeks for highlight. Eyes were washed with Crushed Metal Pigment. Orange Lipmix and pigment on the lips. Fake eyelashes were applied only to the middle of the lashline, in order to create huge doll-like eyes.]

The Takeaway: Overall, the collection was extremely wearable and pretty. The makeup, however, was FLAWLESS. Now to find an occasion where I can wear bright orange lips and not be judged...
