“Sex and the City 2” won't hit theaters until May 2010 (yes, I'm keeping track), but as a warm up for anxious fans, Candace Bushnell will release the new book “The Carrie Diaries” in late April.
Set during Carrie Bradshaw's high school years, the book is a teen prequel to her famous franchise. It will follow the fashionista's early relationships and her beginnings as a writer. According to the publisher, The Carrie Diaries will also focus on Bradshaw's first love, while the cover art specifically references an incident between the character and her mother.
I can't wait for the film version of THIS. Here's to hoping that they don't cast Megan Fox...or any of the Twilight morons.

I'm kinda in love with the cover. Not only am I a package-whore, but a book-cover snob as well. :/
