Printemps commissions designer creations fit for a tea party.

Ok, it's no secret how ridiculously obsessed I am with Alice in Wonderland and relateds.

Printemps, the famed Parisian dept. store, has asked designers to create designs inspired by and custom made for a present day Alice in Wonderland - including these shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood.

"I am very happy to be involved in this project as I love Alice In Wonderland," Kirkwood told VOGUE.COM this morning. "My interpretation for Alice is all about fantasy and fun through escapism."

The collaboration- which includes such industry powerhouses as Christopher Kane, Alexander McQueen, Manish Arora, Maison Martin Margiela, Ann Demeulemeester, Bernhard Willhelm and Haider Ackermann -will be displayed in Printemps' window during Paris Fashion Week.

The pieces will feature in the Boulevard Haussman store's window display from February 1 to March 13 to celebrate the upcoming release of Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland, adapted from Lewis Carroll's original tale.
